little green baby is an eco-friendly and socially conscious baby and children's boutique. We currently offer an array of hand-picked items including clothing, toys and accessories for babies & children under 6 (and their parents). When shopping with us, you will find a wide variety of the traditional must-haves, as well as many true boutique items that are not found in your typical larger chains. We go out of our way to find the new and unique items that will please even the most particular buyers.


Each product is hand selected and when possible, personally tested for quality.  All of our products must meet certain requirements in order to be considered for sale to our customers.  Some of these criteria are: 

100% organic * made by sustainable means * recycled 
made in the USA * locally produced * handmade * fair trade
serves a greater good * support for greener living  

Detergent, cloth diapers, pacifiers - if it's something you have to have, we've tried our best to keep that price as low as possible for you.  Better choices at fair prices.


a note from the owner
Even before I became a mom, I loved babies. This love turned into an obsession when daughter Addison arrived in 2007 followed by McKenna in 2009. I have become totally consumed with everything baby. I have a passion for researching new products and finding the highest value at the lowest price. So when the opportunity to bring the two together presented itself - it seemed to be a match made in heaven.  The pursuit of little green baby kicked into high gear.  We opened our doors in Chicago on Earth Day, April 22, 2010.  Now, we are please to bring our eco-selections to you with the introduction of our web store.  Our brick & mortar store is our main hub, but this will give you a taste of what we offer and allow friends and loved ones to shop for you as well!


Keeping our children safe from toxins while reducing our impact on the planet remains at the forefront of my mind as I select the products I offer to my customers.  I also know that being green needs to easy to incorporate into daily life to be effective.  With this in mind, my goal is to provide a shopping experience that keeps it simple.  I've done the research, so you don't have to.  Making more conscious decisions is easy when you have the right information and our motto is "every little bit helps".
